Payroll Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is a non-digital role with up to three days per week required on site. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees and pensioners, ensuring compliance with statutory, contractual, and organisational requirements. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external bodies, effective management of payroll data and reporting, and a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and service delivery.
Minimum Requirements

Ensure the accurate and timely payment of employees and pensioners.
*
Liaise with employees, pensioners, external bodies, and internal departments to resolve payroll-related queries.
*
Act as the Information Management point of contact, providing support and guidance to the Payroll Team.
*
Collate, develop, and issue reports and presentation materials in line with company standards and agreed deliverables.
*
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
*
Ensure the appropriate handling and management of sensitive or classified information.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage weekly and monthly payroll data within the business system, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations and agreed timescales.
*
Process and monitor all staffing changes, including starters, leavers, transfers, secondments, and salary or employee data amendments, in line with payroll policies and procedures.
*
Manage the input, calculation, and recording of sickness payments, both statutory and occupational.
*
Manage the input, calculation, and recording of maternity, paternity, shared parental leave (SHPL), and adoption payments, both statutory and occupational.
*
Process fixed and casual allowance payments and associated adjustments.
*
Manage balance adjustments and prepare PLO11 documentation.
*
Process settlement agreements and pension amendments, including notional pay for SMP and SPL.
*
Manage overtime payments and adjustments, Cyclamen reporting of OSR, and overpayment corrections.
*
Check and process travel and expense claims in accordance with company policy.
*
Process HMRC documentation, including P45s and P60s, and manage tax code updates and adjustments.
*
Manage all Coulport inputs and related adjustments.
*
Check and enter temporary worker data, including HHA amendments.
Essential Skills and Experience
*
Strong, well-rounded payroll experience with proven capability across pay and reward processing.
*
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
*
Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and Workday
