Payroll Specialist | £30K–£32K | Hybrid (Trowbridge)
We’re partnering with a global FMCG leader with instantly recognisable brands, as they look to add a Payroll Specialist to their high-performing UK team.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire (2 days office / 3 WFH)
Salary: £30,000–£32,000 + benefits
Team: 3 Payroll Specialists reporting to Head of Payroll
Volumes: 1,800 employees across 6 monthly payrolls
System: Outsourced via Zellis

What You’ll Do:
Manage payroll input and administration for 1,800 employees
Handle new starters, leavers, and employee changes
Process leave management (sickness, maternity, holidays)
Resolve payroll and benefits queries within SLAs
Liaise with outsourced payroll provider (Zellis)
Support HR data reporting and continuous improvement projects
What Will Get You an Interview:
1–2 years’ payroll administration experience (high volumes)
Strong Excel skills and confident handling large datasets
Experience with outsourced payroll (advantage)
Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and meet deadlines
