Payroll Specialist - Perm - Remote/Hybrid - London - up to £43,000 per annum

Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a retail company, who are looking for a Payroll Specialist, on a permanent basis. The Payroll Specialist will take ownership of end to end payroll operations for Spain & Portugal. This role is either on a remote (UK), or hybrid basis within their central London office.
The Payroll Specialist will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:
End to end payroll management, prepare, validate, and process monthly payroll for employees in Spain & Portugal
Compliance with local legislation, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
Maintain and update employee data in payroll system
Manage payroll partner to ensure the agreed key calendar milestones are met with accurate outcomes.
Ensure payroll practices comply with Spanish law, social security, tax regulations, and reporting requirements and internal SOX compliance.
Administer and Audit Social and Tax declarations and payments made by payroll partners
Manage employee benefits, variable pay, overtime, commissions, and other payroll elements.

Key Skills:
Experience of running end to end Spanish payroll
Strong understanding of Spanish labour law, taxation, and social security is essential
Experience with payroll compliance audits and vendor management.
Previous experience in the retail industry is desirable.
Experience with Workday and ADP Celergo is desirable.
Knowledge of multi-country payroll processes is essential
Analytically driven and responsible for creating innovative solutions to support the business
Highly organised, able to work to tight deadlines, and comfortable in a fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills
