About the Role

As Payroll Team Leader, you will be the driving force behind the smooth operation of our payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will oversee day-to-day activities, support your colleagues, and ensure our clients receive accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and organise the teams workload, offering guidance and support on payroll queries and calculations
• Review payrolls, CIS submissions, and client communications to maintain high standards
• Step in to process payrolls when needed
• Manage client billing and resolve queries with professionalism
• Ensure pension enrolment assessments meet regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior staff through training, coaching, and feedback
• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to address challenges and drive improvements
• End to end payroll experience (from receiving the input from a client to processing and submitting the payroll information to HMRC)
• Take on ad-hoc tasks with initiative and accountability
