PE Trainee Teacher | Lewisham | September Start
Are you a PE graduate ready to begin your teacher training in September?
A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is offering a salaried PE Trainee Teacher position from September. The school is particularly keen to appoint a trainee to support the delivery of girls PE and promote participation in sport across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This role is ideal for a graduate with a strong background in sport who is committed to training as a secondary PE teacher. You will work closely with experienced staff, gradually taking on responsibility for planning and leading lessons as part of a structured training programme.
PE Trainee Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Train to teach PE across KS3KS4
Support and lead girls PE lessons and extracurricular sport
Plan and deliver practical lessons under mentor guidance
Promote participation, teamwork and confidence in sport
Engage fully with the schools training and development programme
Person Specification:
Degree in PE, Sports Science or a related subject
Strong sporting background and practical ability
Clear commitment to becoming a qualified PE teacher
Confident, professional and able to lead practical sessions
