Pensions Accountant Derbyshire £45,000 – £50,000 Full-Time Hybrid I'm recruiting for a leading manufacturing business in Derbyshire — a well-established and growing company that plays a major role in the region’s economy. They’re now looking for a Pensions Accountant to join the company to help support the finance function. This is a key, specialist role where you’ll be responsible for the full accounting process relating to the company’s pension schemes, working closely with both the HR and wider finance teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of the pensions accounting for the organisation — offering autonomy, responsibility, and a supportive environment as part of a high-performing team. What You’ll Be Doing: Preparing statutory accounts for the pension scheme and company disclosuresManaging audit processes for both scheme and company pension reportingPosting and managing all accounting entries related to pensions, including payments and cashbooksForecasting and supporting actuaries and finance with up-to-date reportingLiaising closely with third-party administrators, payroll, and internal finance teamsHelping maintain and improve controls, reconciliations and monthly reportingAbout You: ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualifiedStrong technical accounting and statutory reporting backgroundComfortable working across functions and taking full ownershipPrior audit experience and ability to liaise confidently with auditorsPensions experience is ideal but not essential — training can be givenExperience working in industry is essential (not open to straight-from-practice candidates)If you're looking for a role with stability, purpose and challenge in a large, fast-moving business, this could be an excellent move for you.
