Alexander Lloyd are seeking an experienced Pensions Technical Lead to join an excelling Insurance business on a 3 or 4 day a week Part-Time Fixed Term Contract for 2 Years. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical pensions professional who is passionate about ensuring products operate within regulatory boundaries while contributing to the development of market-leading retail propositions.

You will play a key role in identifying, analysing, interpreting and communicating regulatory changes that impact Retail propositions. You will also help drive a centre of technical excellence within the Retail Commercial and Propositions function.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Retail propositions operate within the applicable UK regulatory and tax framework.
• Provide technical insight to proposition design, supporting the Retail division’s ambition to lead in its chosen markets.
• Identify, report and manage regulatory, legal and operational risks in line with corporate guidelines.
• Use technical expertise to support the maintenance and development of existing products, as well as the design of new propositions.
• Review proposition literature to ensure accuracy and compliance with product rules and UK regulatory and tax requirements.
• Maintain a log of regulatory changes in line with risk controls, collaborating with stakeholders to independently evaluate and communicate impacts of relevant regulatory publications.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a technical pensions role is essential.
• Strong understanding of the UK pensions framework, including pensions tax rules and relevant FCA COBS requirements.
• Proven ability to respond quickly and effectively to changes in legislation and policy.
• Ability to interpret complex legislation, regulations and FCA rules.
• Skilled at summarising complex topics for a range of audiences.
• Confident in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, including with senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and resolution skills.
