Are you ready to make a real impact across three distinct businesses, each with its own personality and ambitions? We’re hiring a People & Development Partner to work with Christie Group Central Services, Pinders, and support the wider P&D team with Christie Insurance.
You’ll be a connector, coach, and collaborator, helping shape the future of our people experience through trust, insight, and action.
About the Role
This is a great role for someone who loves variety and wants to make a real difference. You’ll help shape the strategic people agenda for each business, while also being hands-on, bringing practical HR/People expertise to day-to-day moments that matter.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with leaders to shape, deliver, and refine people projects and change initiatives, ensuring alignment with both business vision and team aspirations.
- Consultative Coaching and Feedback: Offer practical guidance, proactive coaching, and constructive feedback, empowering managers to lead confidently, nurture talent, and address challenges collaboratively.
- People Planning: Work alongside leaders and managers to anticipate and plan for future team needs, using insights and data to support robust decision-making and foster sustainable growth and resilience.
- Embedding New Practices: Facilitate the adoption of new HRIS tools and processes, ensuring everyone has the support and understanding needed to thrive in evolving ways of working.
- Enabling People and Teams: Partner with managers to nurture high-performing, engaged, and inclusive teams, setting and managing expectations and supporting the teams to realise their full potential through ongoing formal and informal development and open dialogue.
- Supporting the Employee Journey: Guide managers and teams through key moments, like recruitment, performance conversations, and development planning, so every individual has a positive, fair experience aligned to best practice and legal frameworks.
- Documentation and processes: Proactively guide and support managers through documentation, process, and compliance requirements, and when needed, step in to ensure everything is delivered accurately, consistently, and with care.
- Collaboration and Influence: Act as a connector across the group’s broader People community, sharing best practices, building alignment, and encouraging cross-team learning and growth.
What you will bring
- Proven HR Partnering Experience: You’ve worked in People Partner or HR Business Partner roles before, ideally supporting multiple entities with varied cultures and needs.
- Credibility and Calm Confidence: You bring a thoughtful, grounded approach and are comfortable advising senior leaders, offering challenge and support in equal measure.
- Strong Communication and Coaching Skills: You know how to listen, guide, and influence—helping managers lead with clarity, confidence, and care.
- Strategic Thinking with Practical Delivery: You can shape people plans and also roll up your sleeves to make things happen—balancing long-term vision with hands-on action.
- Comfort with Complexity: You’re used to working across different teams and priorities, and can flex your style to suit the situation.
- HR Systems and Change Experience: You’ve supported the rollout or embedding of HR systems and understand how to help teams adopt new ways of working.
- A People-First Mindset: You care about creating fair, inclusive, and enabling experiences for colleagues at every stage of their journey.
- Hands-On Approach: You’re not afraid to get stuck in—proactively guiding and supporting, and stepping in to do the doing when that’s what’s needed to keep things moving.
