HR Business Partner – Hospitality


The Company

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our hospitality business during a busy operational period. Supporting a diverse workforce across multiple sites, you will ensure the delivery of a consistent, compliant, and commercially focused HR service. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who loves food and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


The Opportunity

As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with operational leaders and managers to support the full employee lifecycle. You will provide pragmatic, solutions-focused HR advice, take ownership of employee relations matters, and ensure people practices align with employment legislation and company policies.


You will play a key role in maintaining high engagement, supporting performance, and driving a positive workplace culture across your business areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers to provide expert guidance on all employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, and dismissals.
  • Deliver clear, commercially sound HR advice aligned with UK employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Lead on absence management, advising managers on appropriate interventions and ensuring policy compliance.
  • Coach and develop line managers to build capability in people management and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR and company standards.
  • Contribute to wider HR initiatives such as engagement, retention, workforce planning, and change management.


The Candidate

  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role, ideally within hospitality, retail, leisure, or another fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
  • Confident operating in an operational environment, balancing commercial needs with employee wellbeing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels.
  • Organised, resilient, and comfortable managing a varied workload.
