DepartmentPeople & Culture LocationNewcastle Upon Tyne DescriptionRMT, part of the Sumer Group, are seeking an accomplished People Partner who will play a key role in providing high-quality People and Culture services and professional guidance to colleagues and management. Your expertise will support the navigation of employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and organisational change, while fostering a positive, supportive, and high-performing work culture. Key Responsibilities Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, absence management, and policy compliance. Assist with employee engagement initiatives to support colleague engagement. Coach managers in colleague development and performance management. Oversee payroll production, support pay reviews, and complete People and Culture administration tasks, while assisting with People and Culture groups initiatives and acquisitions.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Strong HR Expertise: Extensive experience in People and Culture, including strong understanding of UK employment law, people management, and early careers programmes, ideally within professional services. Coaching & Influencing: Ability to coach, challenge, and influence managers, providing professional advice and recommendations on people-related issues. Effective Communication & Relationship Building: Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels and foster a positive, people-centric work environment. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Skilled in analysing situations, making informed decisions, and generating practical, risk-based solutions. Organisation & Adaptability: Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.
