We are currently partnering with an Education Consultancy to recruit a Lead People Partner on a permanent basis to support their schools in the Bristol/South-West region. This role offers majority remote working, with the ability to manage your own diary/workload and a salary of £50,000 per annum.


The ideal candidate will bring strong experience operating as a Lead People/HR Partner, with a proven track record of advising senior leaders on complex employee relations matters.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Delivering a high‑performing, trusted ER service and overseeing complex or high‑risk cases with expert judgement
  • Partnering strategically with schools and MATs to identify people‑focused projects and supporting organisational change, including restructures, redundancies and TUPE
  • Building manager capability by coaching leaders to confidently and fairly manage people matters, strengthening culture and employee relations
  • Mentoring and guiding the HR Advisory team to deliver high‑quality ER advice while identifying and mitigating risk for customers
  • Leading the development and implementation of People Services policies and processes, ensuring full compliance and embedding EDI throughout
  • Analysing HR and ER data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and recommending improvements to policies, practices and organisational performance


Experience and skills required:

  • CIPD L5 qualified
  • Highly self‑motivated, commercially minded and able to work autonomously with strong drive and determination
  • Proven experience operating as a commercial HR/People Partner, ideally within fast‑paced or complex environments
  • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change projects, including restructures and redundancy programmes
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring and developing colleagues to support team capability and consistency
  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to manage sensitive, contentious or complex people issues
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholder groups
  • Experience within Education or HR/Payroll provider organisations is advantageous

Working hours:

  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30am-5pm
  • Friday: 8:30am-3pm
