About the Role:
This role sits at the intersection of simulation, performance modelling, and engineering insight. You’ll play a key part in shaping how next- marine propulsion and hydrodynamic systems are designed, tested, and communicated—translating technical analysis into real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and interpret simulation data from performance studies, routing models, and CFD outputs.
Develop tools in Python for performance modelling, data processing, and visualisation.
Automate visual outputs using libraries like Plotly, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
Produce technical reports and tailored client presentations that clearly communicate complex data.
Lead the development of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic performance models.
Work closely with control systems, design, mechanical, and commercial teams to drive multidisciplinary projects.
Maintain and improve a library of visual templates and workflows for reporting.
Explore integration of AI and machine learning into simulation, routing, and optimisation tools.
Stay informed on the latest developments in data science, simulation, and maritime sustainability.
What We’re Looking For:
A strong academic background in Engineering or a related STEM field.
Proficiency in Python and experience applying data analysis or simulation tools.
Strong communication skills, both technical and client-facing.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and taking ownership of tasks.
Confident using PowerPoint and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
Experience managing multiple projects within a multidisciplinary team.
Object-oriented programming experience.
Familiarity with AI or machine learning for optimisation or forecasting.
Background in aerodynamic or hydrodynamic performance engineering and/or CFD.
