Permanent Aftercare Site Manager

Fawkes & Reece are partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit an experienced Site Manager for their Aftercare Team. This role focuses on the final stages of project delivery, ensuring a smooth transition from completion through handover and the defects liability period.
You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, resolving defects, and supporting client satisfaction across multiple projects in London.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the aftercare process from pre-handover through the defects liability period
Monitor and resolve defects, including achieving Making Good Defects (MGD) sign-off
Carry out site inspections across multiple projects
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution
Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
Produce regular progress reports
Manage aftercare-related budgets
Support handover and close-out, including facilities management coordination
Conduct audits and ensure contractual compliance
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Liaise with project and contract managers to resolve defects and liability issues
Act as the main point of contact for aftercare queries and updates
Work both independently and as part of a wider team
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager or in Aftercare / Defects Management
Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and contracts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused
M&E knowledge (desirable)
Comfortable using digital reporting systems
