Leaving Care Personal Advisor Location: Shefford, Central Bedfordshire Duration: Initial 3-month contract Hours: 37 hours per week Pay: £20 per hour (umbrella) (£16 PAYE an hour) About the Role: Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Leaving Care Personal Advisor to provide tailored support services to care-experienced young people transitioning into adulthood. Based in Shefford, this is a pivotal role supporting young people in achieving independence across areas such as education, employment, accommodation, health, and personal wellbeing.You will work closely with young people, developing and reviewing comprehensive Pathway Plans and providing ongoing support, advice, and guidance in line with statutory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of young people aged 16–25 who are leaving care. Complete Pathway Assessments and Plans , ensuring they are holistic, strength-based, and reflective of the young person’s voice. Coordinate and monitor support across key areas such as education, employment, accommodation, health, practical life skills, and personal development.
