Salary £39,631 + a completion bonus\n\n35 hour week; fully office based, flexibility when not in term.\n\nWe are delighted to have partnered with a prestigious, independent school based in Leeds. We are recruiting for a Personal Assistant to the Principal. This key role provides high-level secretarial and administrative support, requiring discretion, efficiency and excellent organisational skills.\n\nThis is maternity contract for 1 2months.

The postholder will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the Principal's office, while contributing to a high-quality administrative service for pupils, parents and staff across the school. The role demands confidentiality, sound judgement and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment.\n\nPlease send us your CVs to review if you have the below and required experience.\n\nYou will need to have a current Enhanced DBS or be happy for one to be carried out.\n\nKey Duties and responsibilities:\nAct as the first point of contact for the Principal, managing communications with parents, pupils, staff, visitors and external organisations.\nManage and maintain the Principal's diary and email inbox, prioritising commitments and making independent decisions where appropriate.\nDraft, prepare and process correspondence, including letters, emails and reports.\nPrepare papers, presentations and documentation for meetings, including governance and staff training.\nAssist with expenses and undertake general office administration.\nWork collaboratively with the wider administrative and support teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality service.\nProactively identify and implement improvements to systems and processes.\nSupport effective communication with parents and colleagues in line with strategic objectives.\nProvide holiday cover for colleagues when required.Person Specification\n\nQualifications\n\nGCSE English and Maths at grade C/5 or above (or equivalent).\nAdvanced shorthand and typing qualifications (or equivalent experience).Experience\n\nSignificant experience providing PA or senior administrative support at a senior level within a complex organisation.\nExperience in an educational environment is desirable but not essential.\nExcellent IT skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.Skills and Qualities\n\nHigh levels of professionalism, integrity and discretion.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.\nHighly organised, efficient and detail-focused.\nProactive, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.\nConfident minute-taker with the ability to review and improve systems and processes.\nAble to work independently and as part of a team.*Please note we are unable to respond to all applications, if you hadn't heard from us within 7 days unfortunately you have not been successful on this occasion
