Job Opportunity: Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Location: Glasgow

Overview:

A highly regarded Personal Injury team in Glasgow is looking to add a further Solicitor to its growing department. This opportunity is ideal for someone with 1–5 years’ PQE in Personal Injury, though applications are also welcomed from NQs who have completed a robust PI traineeship. You’ll join a supportive and collaborative environment that offers exposure to quality work and room to develop.

The role provides an interesting mix of files, with the majority focusing on RTA matters and the remainder covering EL/PL and related claims. There may also be scope, as your experience grows, to assist senior colleagues with more complex cases such as medical negligence.

Role Requirements:

    \n
  • Manage your own caseload of Personal Injury matters
  • Handle a workload consisting of approximately 60% RTA and 40% EL/PL and associated claims
  • Conduct investigations, gather evidence and assess liability and quantum
  • Prepare cases for negotiation, settlement, or litigation where required
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, medical experts and counsel
  • Support senior team members on complex files, with potential future involvement in medical negligence cases

Experience:

    \n
  • NQ–5 years’ PQE in Personal Injury
  • NQs must have a solid PI traineeship with substantial involvement in litigation or claims handling
  • Experience in RTA and exposure to EL/PL claims

  • Organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • A proactive, motivated approach to progressing files efficiently
