Based at a West Yorkshire workshop, this role offers a mix of site and workshop work on diverse projects nationwide. It’s ideal for coded welders who enjoy technical challenges, variety, and working alongside skilled pipefitters.

Weekend work and working away will be required at times, depending on project demands.

Requirements

• Time-served pipe welder
• Proven TIG and MMA (low hydrogen) experience, with MIG knowledge beneficial
• Ability to weld wall thicknesses from 1mm to 32mm
• Experience with welds subject to NDT and destructive testing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Proof of relevant xbpsjku welding codings (current or expired)
• Apprentice trained (Level 2 or 3 Welding/Fabrication) (DESIRED )
• CCNSG Safety Passport ( DESIRED )
• Forklift licence ( DESIRED )

The Role

You will carry out coded welding to ASME or EN standards on pressure pipework, vessels, and associated fabrications in carbon steel and stainless steel.

Typical welding processes include:

• TIG root and hot pass
• MMA (low hydrogen) fill and cap
• TIG cap where required (in line with WPS)
