Planned Maintenance Manager – Kent Based Council £350 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35) 37 Hours per week Ongoing Contract 3 days per week in office
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Planned Maintenance Manager on behalf of a Kent based Local Authority within their Housing service. Overview of the Role In this key position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Council’s housing assets. Reporting to the Head of Housing Assets, you will lead the delivery of the Planned Maintenance Programme, ensuring works are procured, mobilised and delivered on time and within budget. You will take full responsibility for the end-to-end management of planned works projects across the housing stock, ensuring compliance, quality and customer satisfaction remain at the forefront of service delivery.
Responsibilities Lead the delivery of the Council’s Planned Maintenance, Improvements and Adaptations programmes Develop specifications, tender documentation, programmes of works and oversee procurement processes Manage contractors effectively, monitoring performance, quality, cost and compliance Oversee contract mobilisation and ensure works are delivered to agreed standards and targets Authorise variations within delegated budget limits and validate contractor valuations Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations Provide on-site quality control and act as the client representative Liaise with tenants and stakeholders to minimise disruption and resolve issues Maintain accurate digital property records and produce regular performance reports Contribute strategically to asset management planning and continuous service improvement Support delivery of Housing Strategy objectives and Business Plan targetsRequirements HNC/HND in Building Studies (or equivalent experience) Significant experience managing planned maintenance programmes within a housing environment Strong background in procurement and contract management Experience managing substantial budgets Detailed knowledge of landlord compliance obligations and Health & Safety legislation (including CDM) Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Experience within a Local Authority or Housing Association environment (desirable) Full UK Driving LicenceThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Housing Asset professional looking to take ownership of a high-profile planned works programme within a forward-thinking Local Authority.
