Are you an experienced P6 Planner with a strong background in highways infrastructure? Do you have specialist knowledge of bridges, structures, and concrete repairs within highway networks? If so, we want to hear from you!\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a skilled P6 Planner to join the team working on the SDF Highways Framework, covering highway areas 10, 12 & 14.
This permanent role, based in West Yorkshire offers the chance to work on high-profile and impactful projects that maintain and enhance critical infrastructure.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a P6 Planner on the SDF Highways Framework, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining robust and detailed Primavera P6 programmes that drive the successful delivery of multiple schemes focused on bridges, structures, and concrete repairs. You will play a key role in coordinating complex project activities and supporting the efficient progression of works across several highway areas.\n\nYou will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring programme alignment with contractual requirements and delivery milestones. Your planning expertise will help identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and keep the project on track.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, update, and manage detailed Primavera P6 programmes for projects within the SDF Highways Framework.\n\nPlan and monitor works specifically related to bridges, structures, and concrete repairs within highway areas 10, 12 & 14.\n\nCollaborate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the programme reflects accurate sequencing, duration's, and resource allocation.\n\nIdentify critical path activities, potential delays, and risks; proactively provide mitigation plans to avoid programme slippage.\n\nProduce regular progress reports, forecasts, and programme updates for stakeholders and senior management.\n\nSupport contract administration by providing planning input for change management and claims if required.\n\nAssist in coordinating site activities with off-site works and material deliveries to optimise workflow.\n\nEnsure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards through effective programme management.\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nProven experience as a Primavera P6 Planner working within the highways sector.\n\nStrong background in planning works related to bridges, structures, and concrete repairs on highways.\n\nFamiliarity and experience working across highway areas 10, 12 & 14 (or similar regional divisions).\n\nAdvanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office suite.\n\nExcellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nAbility to interpret technical drawings and specifications related to highways infrastructure.\n\nDetail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems proactively.\n\nWillingness to work from the Wakefield office 3-4 days per week, with flexibility for occasional remote work.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive salary of £75,000 per annum + Package\n\nPermanent position with career progression opportunities within a leading highways framework.\n\nSupportive working environment with collaborative teams.\n\nOpportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects that benefit communities and improve transport networks.\n\nHybrid working
