Plant Fitter

ACR are currently work with a well-established Main Contractor delivering high-quality projects across Civil Engineering, Groundworks and Demolition. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join their team.

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of construction plant and machinery. This position will be on site, based in Stanford-Le-Hope.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and repair heavy plant and construction equipment.

*

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

*

Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

*

Attend breakdowns on site and complete repairs efficiently.

*

Ensure all plant is maintained to a high safety standard.

*

Keep accurate service and repair records.

*

Work closely with site managers and operators.

Plant & Equipment May Include

*

360 Excavators

*

Dumpers / Rollers

*

Telehandlers

*

Bobcats & Dozers

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Plant Engineer.

*

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines and electrics.

*

Experience working within Civil Engineering, Groundworks or Demolition preferred.

*

Ability to work independently and manage workload.

*

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

*

Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent desirable).
