Job Title: Plant Fitter
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Overtime
Rota: Full Time – DAYS
Location:Avonmouth

Are you ready to take the next step in your plant engineering career? We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic to join a growing engineering team, working on a fleet of diesel-powered machinery.

This position offers full training on specialist equipment, starting in the depot before progressing to site work when comfortable — ideal for anyone who wants a long-term career path and higher earning potential.

Plant Fitter responsibilities:

Routine maintenance, repairs, fault finding and inspections

*

Working on a range of heavy plant equipment excavators, dumpers,telehandlers both tracked and wheeled machinery.

*

Hydraulic and diesel diagnostics

*

Preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise reliability

*

Working independently and as part of a team to resolve technical issues

The ideal Plant Fitter will have:

A qualification in Plant Maintenance (NVQ / City & Guilds)

Previous hands-on experience working on heavy plant, diesel equipment or hydraulic systems

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

*

A Full UK Driving Licence
