Plant Mechanic

Location: Kilsyth
Pay Rate: £18.63
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Temporary to Permenant
Hours: Monday to Thursday (Apply online only) & (Apply online only) Friday
Minimum of 39 hours per week
Overtime available

Main Responsibilities:

* Diagnose and resolve technical issues with plant and equipment, sharing knowledge and using initiative while on-site.

* Conduct and accurately record routine plant inspections.

* Perform scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.

* Carry out pre-through examination inspections to ensure equipment compliance.

* Provide familiarisation, guidance, and support to apprentices and operators on the safe operation and correct maintenance of plant.

* Advise on, or seek guidance for, plant modifications and development in line with Change Control procedures.

* Identify and recommend opportunities to introduce new technology.

* Train, mentor, and support the development of team members.

* Maintain the company vehicle and its contents to ensure full compliance.

* Respond promptly to unforeseen mechanical issues on-site, including outside normal working hours when required.

* Monitor and replenish spare parts carried in the company vehicle as necessary.

Requirements:

* Will be required to travel across Scotland

* A clean driving licence

* Level 2 VQ Plant maintenance and repair
