JMB4 - Plant Mechanic

Location: Glasgow, Glasgow City, Scotland

Salary: £30k - 35k per year + Vehicle

The Role:

First Military Recruitment are looking for a motivated and hands-on Service/Repair Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of High-Pressure Water Jetting equipment, working in their Glasgow workshop.

Experience with high-pressure jetting systems is an advantage, but full, comprehensive training will be provided.

Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with diesel engines and basic electrical systems
Inspect and diagnose faults on a wide range of jetting and pumping equipment
Repair or replace defective parts, sourcing or fabricating components using hand and machine tools
Rebuild and reassemble machinery
Test and commission equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organised work environment
Support the wider team with workshop tasks and occasional field-based work
Essential Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, supportive team
