We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our established team. Our Plasterers provide plastering works for the Group to a high and consistent standard.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
What do our Plasterer do;
Carry out all plastering work to a high standard, including preparing surfaces, applying internal and external plaster finishes, dry-lining, repairs, restorations and associated trade tasks.
Perform additional repair and maintenance duties, including stripping out, waste removal, DPC injections, small allied trade repairs, and work across domestic and commercial premises.
Operate safely and compliantly, completing routine equipment checks, using PPE, reporting unsafe installations, following asbestos procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Manage resources and customer interaction, including planning work, requesting materials, liaising professionally with customers, following drawings and instructions, documenting work, and obtaining customer signatures.
Support service delivery and teamwork, supervising apprentices, caring for tools and vehicles, participating in the out-of-hours rota, and working collaboratively to improve efficiency and value for money.
What we are looking for;
City and Guilds Craft or minimum NVQ level 2 in an appropriate craft based trade or substantial relevant experience
Experience of working as part of a multidiscipline team
Experience of working collaboratively in a busy team environment.
Managing and prioritising a demanding workload
Experience of delivering quality work on time
Customer focused and a desire to provide services to a high standard
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. Youll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
