A Plater Fabricator role on a new build Energy-from-Waste (EfW) project in the UK involves working with metal components, interpreting engineering drawings, and assembling structures. Key responsibilities include ¹ ² ³: - Fabrication and Assembly: Cutting, shaping, and welding metal plates and components to precise specifications. - Interpreting Drawings: Reading and understanding technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication. - Quality Control: Ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining material traceability, and adhering to safety standards. - Teamwork: Collaborating with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production targets.

Typical requirements for a Plater Fabricator role include: - Experience: Proven experience in fabrication, preferably in a heavy engineering or construction environment. - Qualifications: City & Guilds or NVQ in fabrication, or equivalent apprenticeship. - Skills: Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG), cutting, and shaping metal components. - Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, including working at heights.

· Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plating, Fabrication, Welding, Structural Steelwork, Shipbuilding or Metalworking
