Job Description

An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified General Building Maintenance Operative to join a facilities management team working on a secure government site in Evesham, Worcestershire. The successful General Building Maintenance Operative will work as part of a team carrying out general maintenance tasks across the site as well as supporting the tradespeople.

The position involves 39 hours per week across 7 days, including a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern:

Week 1 - Monday to Friday with the weekend off
Week 2 - Monday Rest Day, Tuesday to Sunday working
Week 3 - Monday to Thursday working with Fri, Sat and Sunday off

There may also be participation in an on-call rota, with additional allowance and optional overtime available.

General Building Maintenance Operative Requirements:

  • Solid experience in DIY/ general building maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • CITB relevant certification or equivalent, or an NVQ trade qualification, would be preferred.
  • Hold full driving licence.
