PMO Manager - Assurance and Controls

A major Leeds based organisation is strengthening its PMO capability for a long‑term, high‑value capital investment portfolio. We're seeking a PMO Manager - Assurance & Controls to lead programme controls, embed proportionate governance, and provide clear, insight‑led reporting that enables confident decision making across multiple projects. What you'll do:
Lead programme controls: develop and implement an integrated performance approach aligning forecasts, schedules and reporting across the portfolio. Embed governance and compliance: roll out control processes, monitor adherence, and coordinate status reporting and key metrics to ensure accuracy and visibility. Elevate performance reporting: own programme and project health reporting; provide constructive challenge and support to drive solutions and continuous improvement. Facilitate collaboration: run workshops and working sessions to agree success criteria for project controls and promote consistency and best practice. Proactively manage risk: identify threats to programme performance and champion improvement and innovation across the PMO community.What you'll bring:
A strong track record across major capital programmes in PMO, project controls or assurance (infrastructure/engineering/construction or similarly complex environments). Deep knowledge of project control best practice (time, cost, quality, risk) and experience implementing governance at scale. The ability to turn performance data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Confident leadership and stakeholder engagement - able to coach, influence and challenge constructively. Familiarity with controls tools (scheduling, cost management, risk modelling) and integrated reporting.Why apply:
