Global Product Portfolio Director opportunity. A newly created global role for an experienced, commercially minded Portfolio Director to manage a £Multi Million category across the UK, Europe and RoW. With leading brands, innovative products, and a global footprint, they are committed to delivering sustainable solutions that protect public health and work in harmony with nature.The RoleThe Global Portfolio Director is accountable for the global strategy, performance, and development of the product portfolio, owning the P&L and driving growth through investment, innovation, and lifecycle decisions.As part of the Group Product & Portfolio Leadership Team, the role sets strategic direction for product management, aligning commercial, technical, and operational functions to deliver a unified global approach.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn global P&L, delivering revenue, margin, and growth targetsDefine and execute global product and portfolio strategyLead the global product management function and standardsDevelop and deliver strategic and operational portfolio plansManage product roadmap, lifecycle, and investment prioritiesDrive innovation and continuous improvement across the portfolioLead cross-functional alignment (Product, Sales, Marketing, R&D)Oversee global pricing strategy and market positioningIdentify and evaluate M&A and investment opportunitiesUse market and competitor insights to inform strategyCollaborate with Supply Chain to optimise cost and deliveryEnsure alignment with brand, sustainability, and customer strategyReview performance and present insights to senior stakeholdersBuild and lead a high-performing global teamYour ExperienceSignificant global/group-level product, category or portfolio leadership, gained from FMCG / manufacturing / product sales.Proven P&L ownership and commercial delivery.Strong commercial, financial and strategic capability.Demonstrated experience in investment and capital allocation decision-making.Experience leading cross-functional, cross-regional teams.Skilled in influencing, decision-making and stakeholder management.Strong knowledge of product lifecycle and market-led innovation.Familiarity with product development processes.Exposure to manufacturing and supply chain.Knowledge of sustainability and product stewardship principles.Additional US or European market experience or languages.Whats on OfferSenior role with high impact and autonomy.Global remit and cross-market exposure.Involvement in new product innovation.Hybrid working with frequent global travel.Strong career development opportunities.Great salary, bonus, and additional benefits to include Healthcare, Pension, Car AllowanceThis is a rare opportunity in a senior portfolio role, driving high-impact improvements that directly support business growth.Full job description available on request.Our client is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
