Positive Behaviour Practitioner

We are looking to recruit a Positive Behaviour Practitioner on a 1-year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave (May 2026 May 2027). As a PBS Practitioner, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality services for people who may challenge and/or have autistic spectrum needs. You will help individuals live independent, meaningful lives by designing person-centred, function-based support grounded in PBS principles.
You will carry out assessments, develop support and behaviour support plans, and guide staff teams in proactive, active and reactive PBS strategies. The role also includes producing reports, promoting community inclusion, and ensuring communication environments meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities Provide advice, assessments and recommendations to services. Support teams to develop support plans, behaviour support plans and risk assessments. Deliver training (PBS, ASC, PROACT-SCIP). Promote community involvement and skill development for individuals. Produce case studies and reports for external professionals and commissioners. Work with managers on staff development, recruitment and service improvement. Hours
