Postdoctoral researcher – University of ReadingWe seek a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Environmental Research Division and work on a 3-year NERC funded project to implement and test a newly developed process-based model of ocean heat uptake that will improve the accuracy of climate change projections by simple climate models.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will contribute to the development, implementation and testing of a process-based model of ocean heat uptake within a climate modeling framework, and participate in project planning, data analysis and dissemination of results.QualificationsA recently completed PhD in Physical Oceanography or related disciplineExperience with analysing oceanic observations and/or climate model simulationsStrong numeracy skills and proficiency in a programming language such as Python/Matlab/FortranPublication record commensurate with experienceThis opportunity is open to all genders and career stages. #J-18808-Ljbffr
