Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Location: Epsom, South-West London
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Depending on Experience)

Role Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking concepts through design, simulation, prototyping and validation within a fast-paced R&D environment. You’ll be joining a growing technical team working on high-efficiency power conversion and advanced energy transfer systems.
You will be responsible for the design and development of high-performance power electronic systems for EV charging systems.
The position offers involvement across hardware design, control integration, system optimisation and validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-efficiency AC/DC and DC/DC converters
Develop power stages for high-frequency and high-power applications
Perform simulation, modelling and optimisation of power electronics circuits
Support PCB layout, component selection and thermal/EMI considerations
Conduct laboratory testing, debugging and validation of prototypes
Contribute to control strategies and system-level integration
Prepare technical documentation and support compliance activities Experience Required:
5+ years’ experience in power electronics design
Experience with simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink or similar)
Practical lab experience with power electronics testing and instrumentation
Knowledge of control loops, magnetics, gate drivers and protection circuits
Embedded firmware experience (C)
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
