Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Overview

I’m supporting one of my clients within the food manufacturing sector who are looking to add a PPM Engineer to their engineering team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing a range of production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production machinery including conveyors, ovens, filling machines, metal detectors and x-rays.

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.

Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety and company standards.

Complete daily engineering logs, PPM sheets and relevant documentation.

Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

Support continuous improvement and contribute to engineering projects.

Skills & Experience
Time-served or qualified engineer (mechanical or electrical bias).

Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments preferred.

Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. xbpsjku

Confident interpreting engineering drawings and manuals.

Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
