I am currently seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to take full ownership of work-winning and pre-construction commercial activities on behalf of my industry-leading client. This role involves the strategic implementation of business objectives and the effective leadership, motivation, and management of the Pre-Construction team.

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity based in a busy London office, working within the Building Services sector across a diverse portfolio, including Healthcare, Higher Education, Life Sciences, and Office Fit-Out projects.

Roles and responsibilities include:

Take ownership of the sales pipeline, aligning it with the strategic goals of the business and converting opportunities into successful bids to achieve targets across new and existing clients, turnover, margin, sectors, locations, and value bands.

Lead and manage the Pre-Construction phase, ensuring a seamless transition to the Operations team for project execution.

Act as a visionary and strategic leader who inspires and motivates a diverse team, promoting a culture of collaboration and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of activities that support both the Construction Unit and the broader organisation.

Report directly to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), building and maintaining strong client relationships at all levels by providing strategic insights and delivering exceptional service.

Operate within budget parameters, implementing efficient contract delivery measures that ensure value for money and the consistent achievement (and surpassing) of performance targets.

Person specifications include:

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction or MEP industry.

Possession of a relevant trade or engineering qualification, or substantial time-served experience in MEP.

Proven experience managing MEP building services on projects with a value of at least £10 million
