KS2 Class Teacher - September Start (Long-Term)

Location: Balham, Wandsworth
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential for permanent)
Salary: M2 - M6 (Inner London)

A well-regarded mainstream primary school in Balham is seeking an experienced KS2 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.

This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role is likely to be within either Year 4 or Year 5, depending on the successful teacher's strengths and experience.

The school has a strong Key Stage 2 team, supportive leadership, and clear structures in place, making it an excellent environment for a teacher looking to secure a stable and rewarding role.

The Role Will Involve:

Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, and reporting
Delivering engaging and structured lessons across the KS2 curriculum
Supporting pupil progress and attainment
Working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency across the phase
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learning

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS and have proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (essential)
Be confident delivering the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Upper KS2
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Be proactive, organised, and committed to pupil outcomes
Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresPlease note: Only candidates with prior KS2 teaching experience will be considered.
