Year 6 Class Teacher - Permanent

A well-regarded primary school in Balham is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who is passionate about preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school and can deliver high-quality teaching with strong academic expectations and effective behaviour management.

The successful candidate will:

Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)

Have proven experience teaching Year 6 or upper KS2 within a UK primary school

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, including SATs preparation

Set high expectations for pupil achievement, progress and behaviour

Create a focused, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and senior leaders

Hold up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
