Primary School Teacher – Flexible Full-Time or Part-Time

Location: Gateshead

Start Date: After Easter Holidays

Contract: Full-time or part-time available. Term-time only

Pay: Starting from £140 per day


Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gateshead to appoint a Primary School Teacher to join their dedicated team after the Easter break.


This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their practice within a supportive and nurturing school environment, with potential for longer-term or permanent opportunities.

The Role: Primary School Teacher

As a Primary School Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.


Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the primary UK curriculum
  • Plan and prepare lessons where required
  • Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress

Classroom Environment & Pupil Development

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Build strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and achievement
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development

Collaboration & Professional Practice

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
  • Contribute to planning and school activities
  • Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities


The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within a Primary School setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for inspiring and supporting young learners
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply
