At Smile Education we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Wolverhampton area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, delivering engaging and tailored lessons that support both academic progress and personal development. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum effectively. Monitor and assess pupil progress, using this information to inform future planning and targeted support. Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to provide a consistent and supportive approach. Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other personalised support strategies. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress.What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally within an SEN setting. A strong understanding of different learning needs, including communication and behavioural challenges. The ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to teaching.What We Offer
