Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Lower Key Stage 2

• Hourly Rate: £14.63
• Location: Blackburn
• Job Type: Part-time
• Start Date: 5th May 2026
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

We are looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team, working within lower Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about contributing to the educational development of children and providing targeted support in a dynamic classroom environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons and educational activities tailored to lower Key Stage 2 students.
• Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and ensuring a conducive learning environment.
• Help monitor student progress, providing feedback and additional support where necessary.
• Facilitate small group activities and interventions under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Engage with students to encourage participation and enhance their learning experiences.
• Maintain classroom resources and assist in organising the classroom setup.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with lower Key Stage 2 students.
• Strong understanding of the educational needs and curriculum of lower Key Stage 2.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children's learning.
