TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Basildon, and we are looking to recruit a dedicated and resilient Primary Qualified Teacher to join their supportive team.

The Role
As a Primary Qualified Teacher within this SEMH setting, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Implement positive behaviour management strategies
Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and senior leaders
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
Class sizes are small, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalised support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching within a primary setting
Strong behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Experience with SEMH or SEND (desirable but not essential)
A genuine passion for inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
