Year 1 Teacher (QTS) | Inner London Pay | Willesden, Brent
We are working with a welcoming, well-organised primary school in Willesden, Brent, who are seeking a qualified Year 1 Teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team from April. This is a full-time role within a supportive school that values consistency, strong teaching practice, and collaborative working.
This is not a role where you will be expected to manage everything independently. Planning is shared across the year group, and you will be supported by experienced colleagues and teaching assistants. The school is well resourced, expectations are clear, and leadership is hands-on and approachable, allowing teachers to focus on delivering high-quality learning.

Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Full-time (Temporary to Permanent) Salary: £40,317 - £52,300 (Inner London Pay Scale) Pay: Weekly PAYE - no umbrella companies or hidden fees
The Role
You will take full class responsibility for a Year 1 class, delivering the National Curriculum with a strong emphasis on early reading, writing and maths.
Planning is completed collaboratively across KS1, ensuring consistency and manageable workload. You will assess pupil progress regularly, using school systems to inform next steps and targeted support.
You will work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff and senior leaders to support pupils with additional needs, including those transitioning from EYFS into KS1. The school has established routines and clear behaviour expectations, supporting a calm and purposeful learning environment.
