Teaching Assistant - Full Time
Location: Harwood, Bolton
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Harwood, Bolton is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will work across different year groups throughout the school, supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and helping them access the curriculum effectively.

Role Responsibilities:

Support pupils in whole-class, small group, and 1:1 settings

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment

Help with preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation

Provide additional support for pupils who require extra help academically, socially, or emotionally

Encourage positive behaviour and support school routines

Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and senior leadership to meet the needs of all pupils

Requirements:

Experience supporting children in a primary school setting

Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to support across multiple year groups

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred but not essential
