About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Support learning in the classroom across the primary curriculum Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials Supervise pupils during break times and school activities when required
Requirements
Teaching Assistant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 TA) Experience working with primary‑aged children is desirable A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach Good communication and teamwork skills A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
