Principal AI & Data Architect

About the Role

\n

We are seeking a Principal AI & Data Architect to join a specialist consultancy delivering modern cloud data platforms, advanced analytics and next‑ AI capabilities across the Microsoft ecosystem.

\n

This senior, hands‑on role is suited to someone who can operate as the organisation's leading authority in AI and data architecture. You will shape and design enterprise‑grade solutions, directly influence technical strategy and support complex pre‑sales engagements with senior stakeholders.

\n

You will work closely with business and technical leaders to translate complex data challenges into secure, scalable and future‑ready architectures, while helping to define standards, guide delivery teams and contribute to the development of reusable products and accelerators.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n Design and architect advanced data and AI platforms across Microsoft Azure and associated technologies

\n

Lead the delivery of large‑scale data solutions, ensuring quality, performance and alignment to best practice

\n

Shape technical strategy and support pre‑sales activities, including stakeholder workshops and solution design

\n

Define architectural standards and governance models for data, AI and analytics projects

\n

Lead and mentor engineers and consultants, setting technical direction and improving capability

\n

Engage with C‑suite stakeholders to simplify complexity and communicate strategic technical vision

\n

\n

Skills and Experience

\n

\n Extensive hands‑on experience across Microsoft Azure data and AI services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI)

\n

Proven track record architecting enterprise‑scale AI, data and analytics solutions

\n

Expertise in generative AI, machine learning, cognitive services and responsible AI practices

\n

Deep understanding of modern data architectures including lakehouse, data mesh, MDM and dimensional modelling

\n

Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform advantageous

\n

Experience leading pre‑sales engagements and presenting to senior stakeholders

\n
