Principal/Senior Civil Design Engineer (Water Industry) Location: Manchester (Hybrid working) Contract: 12 month contract Rate: £400 to £490 per day (outisde IR35) An established engineering consultancy business is seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Civil Design Engineer to support the delivery of civil design solutions across regulated clean and wastewater projects in the UK.

This is a contract opportunity suited to candidates with strong technical capability, leadership experience, and a background in the UK Water Industry Key Responsibilities Produce civil design deliverables that meet safety, quality and regulatory requirements Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits, communicating effectively with clients and project teams Direct, support and develop CAD Technicians, junior designers and graduates Prepare design risk assessments, reports and technical specifications Ensure designs comply with relevant technical, professional and water company standards Attend and present designs at HAZOP, ALM, KM and similar meetings Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years' design experience within the regulated water industry Experience carrying out hydraulic calculations and producing hydraulic profiles Degree qualified, HND, or significant experience from Technician level Registered with a relevant professional body and working towards xbpsjku Chartership Preferred Qualifications & Experience Chartered Engineer Experience across both clean water and wastewater projects Background in infrastructure and non-infrastructure design Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle How to Apply If you are a Senior Civil Design Engineer with water industry experience and are looking for your next contract role, please apply or get in touch for a confidential discussion
