Are you an experienced Ecologist looking to join a company that supports its employees’ long-term careers and offers hybrid working?

If so, we have just the position for you! We are working with a well-established practice, experienced in environmental design and planning across various sectors. Due to increased workload, they are currently looking for a Principal Ecologist to join their team on a hybrid basis.

The role involves mentoring and developing the ecology team, working on diverse projects. The position is open at the Principal level, with potential to progress to Associate Director, depending on the candidate.

Working hours:

• Full-time or Part-time

Qualifications and skills required:

• Relevant degree and Full Member of CIEEM
• FISC level 3 minimum
• Survey and mitigation licences (bats mitigation licence preferred)
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle
• Ability to mentor and manage a team
• Strong understanding of the planning system
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Experience in preparing technical reports and presenting findings clearly
• Beneficial but not essential: experience in business development and Public Inquiry examinations
