OverviewThe Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to join our team and lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients. You will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes. Applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework while demonstrating technical credibility across diverse stakeholders, you will distil customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade-off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact. Key responsibilitiesLeading and managing complex cloud migration and transformation programmes from inception to completionEnsuring successful delivery of programme outcomes within agreed time frames, budget and quality parametersDeveloping and executing programme level strategic planning with the agility to adjust strategies as necessary to meet evolving business objectivesBuilding and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across customers, partners and internal teams at all levelsChairing executive level meetings, driving key decisions and resolving programme level risks and issues with appropriate escalation pathsEstablishing robust programme structure, governance model and communication planLeading a multidisciplinary team of project managers and technical specialistsEnsuring compliance with security, regulatory and governance requirements across all programme work-stream About The TeamDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experienceExperience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiencesExperience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiativesExperience leading engagements using industry standard program management techniques including Agile at scale delivery frameworks and project management toolsetsExperience with cloud computingExperience developing customer-facing presentations Preferred QualificationsAWS experience preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - AssociateStrong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practicesExperience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption FrameworkProven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
