Job Description

Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with an international design consultancy who are looking to recruit a Principal Engineer - Industrial Buildings to join their London-based energy team, working in conjunction with the Bristol team.\n\nThe strategically important Principal Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £65,000, a competitive company pension, flexible working and a market leading bonus scheme.\n\nIf you're an experienced Structural Engineer, that has a proven background working on complex industrial building structures, which could be Nuclear, Train Stations, Hospitals, etc and you are looking for a change, hit apply with your most up to date CV today.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Principal Engineer role \n\nReporting to the Team Leader you will:\n\nPerform and assist in managing design duties on and international design schemes to provide engineering solutions\nOversee and direct time and budgets within the team\nComplete site visits as and when is needed\nKeep track of the project and be able to report back to management as to how things are progressing\nReport into management of future business leads \n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nIdeally between 5-8 years' experience as a Structural Engineer\nExperience designing complex industrial structures, which could be nuclear, rail infrastructure, healthcare, etc\nChartered with CEng, ICE or IStructE is essential\nDesign experience with both Reinforced Concrete and Steel\n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Principal Engineer role would suit someone who is:\n\nSelf-motivated and committed, with a high degree of integrity\nA team player who seeks to positively contribute to the working group with a collaborative attitude\nConvincing in terms of a capacity to translate objectives into effective practical steps\nAble to perform effectively within changing environments; demonstrates willingness and flexibility of availability to meet business needs\nDemonstrates a strong need to achieve, setting high standards for self and others.
