Working Hours: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs), 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)
We’re looking for a Senior/Principal Water Environment Modeller (or an experienced Consultant ready to step up) to join our growing Water Environment team in the south west of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative projects, from nature-based solutions and flood risk management to drainage design and climate change assessments.
What You’ll Be Doing
Delivering hydraulic modelling for river and urban flood risk projects.
Championing technical innovation to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective solutions.
Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports.
What You’ll Need
Experience with 1D/2D hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-2D, Flood Modeller-TUFLOW, Infoworks-ICM).
Strong understanding of flood risk management techniques and option appraisals.
Familiarity with UK flood risk planning policies and hydrological methodologies.
Excellent technical report writing and review skills.
Experience in collaborative working, with strong communication skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Project management experience (for senior/principal level).
