Infrastructure Town Planner\nLocation: Flexible (UK-based) | Permanent | Full-time\n\nI'm currently working with a globally respected, design-led consultancy that's looking to appoint an Infrastructure Town Planner to join its growing planning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a planner who wants to work at the forefront of major infrastructure, energy, transport, and regeneration projects that genuinely shape places and communities.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nYou'll be part of a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with engineers, environmental specialists, economists, and designers to deliver complex infrastructure schemes from inception through to consent and delivery. Projects range from nationally significant infrastructure to regionally important transport, utilities, and sustainable development schemes.\n\nThis role would suit someone who enjoys strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and navigating complex planning frameworks while contributing to projects with real social and environmental impact.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide planning advice on major infrastructure and development projects\n\nPrepare and coordinate planning applications, DCOs, and supporting documentation\n\nManage and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments and planning strategies\n\nEngage with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies, and key stakeholders\n\nSupport project management, programme delivery, and junior team members\n\nContribute to business development and thought leadership where appropriate\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline\n\nMRTPI qualified or working towards chartership\n\nExperience in infrastructure planning (transport, energy, utilities, or major development)\n\nStrong understanding of UK planning policy and consenting regimes\n\nConfident communicator with experience engaging multiple stakeholders\n\nA collaborative mindset and the ability to work across disciplines\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\nExposure to some of the UK's most high-profile and technically challenging infrastructure projects\n\nA genuinely collaborative and inclusive working culture\n\nExcellent career progression and professional development support\n\nFlexible working arrangements and a strong focus on wellbeing\n\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits package\n\nIf you're an Infrastructure Planner looking to step into a role where your work has significance and long-term impact, I'd welcome a confidential conversation to explore whether this could be the right move for you
