Principal Mechanical Design Engineer \n \nAre you an experienced Building Services design engineer with a passion for your job? A very attractive opportunity has become available for a growing M&E consultant offering 1 in 4 Fridays off work. \n \nThe opportunity is unique with the company working on some high profile projects in multiple sectors so no two jobs will be the same.
\n \nResponsibilities \n- Interpret project requirements from drawings and brief. \n- Liaise with Project Managers, clients, sub-contractors to ensure smooth design and install process . \n- Attend design team meetings and project meetings \n- Monitor design progress in accordance with the programme/deadline.
\n- Produce design calculations, analysis manually and with the aid of software packages. \n- Produce design sketches. \n- Adopt a flexible attitude to projects and design.
\n- Help to manage and develop less experienced engineers working on the same projects as you \n \nRequirements \n- Ideally 5 years' experience in Building Services Design \n- Successful experience of technical management and development of commercial projects (offices, housing projects, schools, hospitals etc) \n- Experience of using AutoCad and desirably 3d modelling software also \n- A broad knowledge of mechanical design and desirably experience "on the tools" \n- A creative way of working \n- Desire to work, learn and share ideas with some of the best consultants in the Country \n- Educated to HND/HNC level as a minimum \n \nBenefits \n- Salary between £60,000 - £70,000 \n- £6,000 Car Allowance \n- Private healthcare \n- Generous holiday entitlement \n- Laptop + Phone \n- Performance Bonus Package \n- Chance to attend industry recognised award evenings \n- Modern Offices with flexible working
